The Swedish Corporate Governance Board (the Board) assumed responsibility for Takeover Rules upon the closure of Näringslivets Börskommitté in 2010. Since 2021, the Stock Market Self-Regulation Committee (ASK) has assumed responsibility for Takeover Rules.
The Board has revised the rules on four occasions: in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2020. ASK has issued revised rules in 2023, which apply from 1 January 2024.
